GWEN STORY, CPA, CGA
I am a senior manager at RLB LLP Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. I have been involved with auditing condominium corporations since 2001. This lead to my involvement with CCI-GHC in 2006: serving on a number of conference committees, doing presentations at courses and conferences and finally becoming a board member in 2016. I am proud to have been part of the team that persevered in forming the new Grand River Chapter of The Canadian Condominium Institute.
As a longtime resident of the Guelph area and condominium owner, I have a personal interest in the dynamics of the condominium field. Educating myself and all interested parties within the condominium community is my passion. I enjoy a connection with unit holders at their annual general meetings and at the various courses I attend.
MAURICE CHEVELDAYOFF (CHEVY)
Maurice Cheveldayoff, or almost always just "Chevy", has accumulated a lifetime of experiences in his "Knowledge Base". Whether it was from his Grandfather's and Dad's Knee or assorted academic and professional institutions, he has "been there" and "done that". Classically trained as a teacher, he has spent considerably more years "instructing" outside of the classroom with various organizations than if one counted the years at the front of the chalkboard.
Recently in retirement, his involvement in real estate has been with repairing and managing condominiums. He has spent the past twelve years, "flipping" and owning units as an investor. Currently his leadership is being volunteered, as a Board Member and President of Brant Condominium Corporation #31, Waterloo Condominium Corporation #314, and North Bay Condominium Corporation #39. He is also contributing to the Brantford Condominium Corporation Association as a Board Member.
His passion is teaching and helping. Open to questions and discussions about the latest venture, he welcomes the challenge and always seeks to improve things for the next person.
