Christopher Mendes,  B.A. (Hons), M.A., J.D.

Christopher Mendes is an associate with SmithValeriote Law Firm LLP in the Condominium Law Practice Group. Chris has a B.A. (hons) in history and political science from the University of Waterloo, an M.A. in Political Studies from Queen’s University and completed his legal education with a J.D. from the University of Ottawa. Since his call to the Bar in 2018, Chris’ practice is strictly concerned with condominium law matters. Chris, together with the Condominium Law Practice Group at SV Law,  assists condominiums in all legal matters concerning governance, contracts, dispute resolution and enforcement, including matters before the Condominium Authority Tribunal. Chris has been a member of CCI-GRC since his call to the Bar and serves on the CCI-GRC’s education committee. Chris regularly speaks on condominium law issues in the area.

Brad is the Senior Vice President at Wilson, Blanchard Management Inc. and has been managing condominium corporations and commercial properties for over 16 years, achieving the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA®) designations. He has been a speaker at multiple ACMO and CCI events and courses and is an instructor for the ACMO RCM courses at Mohawk College. Contributing articles for various industry publications, Brad is very involved in the condominium industry, recently appointed to the CMRAO Discipline & Appeals Committee, and participating as the Chair of the CCI-GRC Education Committee and on the Board of Directors for CCI-Grand River Chapter, while being actively involved with training and mentoring new Property Managers entering the profession.

Kathleen is currently serving her 4th term as the President of Waterloo Standard CC #417,
Woodland Ridge, in Cambridge. This is a complex of 153 bungalow condo units.
For over 12 years she has been a member of condo boards in various positions and a
condo owner for over 25 years. Currently she serves on the CCI GRC Education
Committee. This a good fit as Kathleen retired from a career as a High School teacher.
